These terms are deliberately short and written in plain English. By using Smart Converter Pro you agree to them; if you don't agree, please don't use the site.

The service is free

Smart Converter Pro provides free online file conversion and unit conversion tools, funded by advertising. There is no paid tier, no account and no subscription. We may add, change or retire individual tools at any time.

Acceptable use

Only convert files you own or have permission to use. Don't use the tools to process or distribute illegal content, malware, or material that infringes someone else's copyright or privacy. Don't attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service, scrape it at abusive volume, or use it in a way that interferes with other visitors.

Your files stay yours

You keep all rights to the files you convert. Using the site does not transfer any ownership or licence in your content to us. Most conversions run entirely in your browser; where a file is processed on a server it is used only to perform the conversion and then deleted, as described in our privacy policy.

No warranty — use at your own risk

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to make the tools accurate and reliable, but we can't guarantee that a conversion will be error-free, that output will suit a particular purpose, or that the site will always be available. Always keep your original files — don't delete a source file until you have checked the converted result.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including lost data, lost profits or damaged files. Since the service is free, our total liability for any claim connected to it is limited to the amount you paid us to use it, which is nothing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new tools. When we do, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
